07/04/1984: The Offices of the Institute for Historical Review in Torrance, California, United States, were destroyed in an arson that caused $400,000 in damages to the one-story building and resulted in minor injuries to one fire-fighter. The arson is believed to have been set by either a molotov cocktail that was thrown into the building or by dousing the offices in gasoline, but the perpetrators are unknown. The Institute for Historical Review (IHR) denied the existence of the Holocaust.
