8/13/1998: Unknown perpetrators, believed to be affiliated with the Islamic insurgency in Algeria, planted a homemade bomb that detonated at the Sidi Fredj beach resort in Staoueli, Algeria. The device, which was buried in underneath the sand, did not cause any casualties or damage.
