02/08/1999: Police defused a bomb planted near the Turkish Consulate in Komotini, Greece. An anonymous warning call from Support of Ocalan-The Hawks of Thrace warned of a bomb placed in a building across the street from the Consulate. The call prompted immediate police action and the deployment of a bomb disposal team to defuse the device.
