Incident Summary:

07/01/1999: In the Nunavil area between Chavakachcheri and Jaffna, Sri Lanka, members of the militant arm of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), the Black Tigers, launched a claymore bomb attack on an Army convoy causing three deaths and injuring eight. The attack was meant to commemorate their first suicide mission carried out on July 5, 1987.
