Incident Summary:

09/07/2000: In the late evening on September 7, 2000, Chechen rebels attempted to destroy a "special reconstruction train" that carried railway troops on the Khasvyurt-Kadi-Yurt railway. The explosion damaged 5 cross ties and 3 meters of rails. However a Spokesman for Railway Troops stated that there was no damage to the train and there were no casualties or injuries. According to the Spokesman, the explosion occurred under the last car of the train. No one was captured in the incident.
