11/5/2000: Unknown perpetrators, believed to be affiliated with the Islamic insurgency in Algeria, detonated a bomb that wounded a patrol of Algerian soldiers near Hammam Righa, Algeria. One soldier was killed and two others were wounded. It was believed that the bomb was originally intended to destroy an electricity pylon.
