Incident Summary:

1/7/2001: Suspected members of the United Peoples Democratic Solidarity (UPDS) attacked the family of Benson Ingti, a local Karbi tribesman, near Diphu, Assam, India. After entering the home of the tribesman, the militants lined up the seven members of the household and opened fire on them. Four were killed and three were seriously injured. The motive behind the attack is unknown.
