Incident Summary:

03/08/2001: Unknown attackers Explosives used improvised explosive devices in three coordinated attacks in the city of Thessaloniki, Greece within one hour of each other. The second attack occurred when an explosive was planted in a building on the corner of Egnatia and Ayias Sofias streets, targeting the Ministry of Health and Welfare. The building sustained minor damage, but there were no casualties. The group left a note stating that the attacks were meant to draw attention to the plight of the destitute people living in Mitilini.
