Incident Summary:

06/10/2001: Two people were critically wounded when a bomb exploded inside the assembly offices in Bayelsa state, Nigeria. The offices were seriously damaged. No group claimed responsibility for the attack, although it was thought that Heineken October Lokpobiri, speaker of the house, was behind the incident. The police later arrested two people, including one person in the assembly, in connection with the bombing.
