Incident Summary:

08/20/2001: An attack was launched by an armed group of 30-40 ethnic Abkhaz, Armenians and Russians against residents of the Kodori Gorge in Georgia. One civilian was wounded and one attacker was reported killed and another wounded. The group seized horses and cattle before retreating into Abkhaz-controlled territory.
