04/16/2002: An explosion occurred at a bazaar on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway in Avantipura. The bomb was attached to a bicycle, and was detonated as an Army convoy passed through. Three civillians were killed and at least 16 others injured. There were no claims to responsibility.
