01/31/2003: An Indian Border Security Force patrol in Anantnag, Kashmir was the intended target of a grenade attack by suspected Muslim rebels. The grenade missed its target and detonated among civilians in the Lal Chowk marketplace resulting in the death of Ajaz Ahmed and fifteen more wounded.
