Incident Summary:

07/29/2003: Militants belonging to the outlawed National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) dragged out a family of four people from their home and killed them in the village of Champahaur, India. The militants reportedly lined up the four - an elderly mother, her two daughters and a teenaged son - and shot them dead from close range using automatic weapons. The rebels reportedly targeted the family because two of their sons, who were earlier NLFT cadres, had surrendered to authorities.
