02/12/2006: Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) fired two rockets from the northern Gaza Strip at Ashkelon, Israel; the rockets landed just south of Ashkelon and caused no injuries or damage. The group's spokesman said that the attack was in response to Israeli assassinations against PIJ's commanders in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
