Incident Summary:

11/26/2006: An unknown number of fighters from the The National Redemption Front from Darfur captured the Abu Jabra oil field in the Sudan’s Kordofan region. In the attack they also seized vehicles and weapons, and destroyed part of the oil field. The Sudanese government announced that they were back in control of the oil field within 24 hours of the incident.
