Incident Summary:

12/07/2006: Somadevi school in Kallar, Sri Lanka, was hit by artillery shells, wounding ten children and one teacher. The teacher died later from injuries. Roughly a half hour later, Kallar was hit again by artillery fire, killing two adult civilians and one child. Officials blame the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) for the attack but they deny involvement.
