Incident Summary:

01/27/2008: Unknown perpetrators stabbed and killed a former city official and his wife and daughter in their home in northeastern Baghdad, Iraq. The former city official's name was Ahmed Jwad Hashim who was a Shiite engineer from Karbala. The attack also left Hashim's nephew seriously injured. The attack occurred at the family's two-story house late Saturday in Talbiyah, a middle-class neighborhood on the fringes of the Shiite militia stronghold of Sadr City.
