Incident Summary:

3/28/2008: Sean Langan and his interpreter were kidnapped when attempting to interview a high-ranking Taliban member for a documentary along the Afghan-Pakistan border. They were taken to a compound in Bajaur Agency, FATA, Pakistan. They were then released in Islamabad, Pakistan, on June 21, 2008. Sources speculate that the kidnappers were merely criminals; however, the Haqqani network is believed to be behind the attack.
