Incident Summary:

06/24/2008: On Tuesday morning at 07:00, a motorcycle bomb exploded near a railroad station in the Pimonchai fresh food market in Muang district, Yala province, Thailand, injuring ten people, including four soldiers. The 11 pound remote-controlled bomb detonated moments before the four soldiers arrived at the market. Police believed the bombing was in retaliation for clashes between security forces and a local insurgent group in Bannang Sata district on 06/22/2008 on Sunday. No claim of responsibility was made for the incident.
