Incident Summary:

07/10/2008: On Thursday, Muhammad Naeem Mohmand, National Solidarity Program chief, was taken hostage by suspected insurgents in the vicinity of Zaranj city, Nimruz province, Afghanistan. Three days later on Sunday, 07/13/2008, his beheaded body was discovered in Chakhansor district of Nimruz province. No ransom demand was made for Mohmand’s release and no claim of responsibility was made for the incident.
