Incident Summary:

03/25/2009: On Wednesday evening, at around 1850, in Tezpur, Assam , India, 13 persons were injured following a grenade blast near the Kanaklata Civil Hospital. The injured have been identified as Rinku Das (20), Ratan Kumar Mahatu (48), Krishna Ghosh (40), Ajit Pandit (30), Raju Gupta (32), Krishna Mandal (20), Bhanti Devi (45), Bijai Bahadur (60), Bishnu Gupta (45), Ranjani Bora (58) and Nagendra Prashad (40). The injured persons have been admitted at Kanaklata Civil Hospital. No group claimed responsibility, but it was widely believed the United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA) was responsible. It Is unknown if the attack caused any property damage.
