Incident Summary:

05/21/2009: On Thursday, at Chuzhiad near Ponnyam Lower Primary School, in Kannur, Kerala, India, assailants detonated about eight home-made bombs on a vehicle, wounding five Rashitriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) members and damaging the car. The injured were identified as E Manoj, Rajeevan, Suresh Babu, Vijayan and Rajeesh. No group claimed responsibility, but authorities believed the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) was responsible.
