Incident Summary:

07/02/2009: On Thursday night at 0010, in Karabudakhkent, Dagestan, Russia, assailants detonated an improvised explosive device (IED) near the Uitash railway station as a maintenance train was passing by, damaging the train and a section of the railway tracks. At about 0300, assailants detonated a second IED as a group of Federal Security Service (FSB) officers arrived to investigate the first explosion, killing one FSB officer. No group claimed responsibility.
