08/05/2009: On Wednesday, on a highway in Abu Gharaq, Babil, Iraq, armed assailants kidnapped 11 Shia pilgrims and the driver of a minibus while on their way to Karbala' to observe Shabaniyah. No property damage was reported and no group claimed responsibility. The status of the hostages was unknown.
