Incident Summary:

04/19/2010: On Monday morning, in the Qissa Khawani area of Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, a suicide bomber struck an area where a protest organized by the radical Islamist party Jamaat-i-Islami was held. The attack killed 25, including several officials from the Jamaat-i-Islami party, and injured 30 people. The explosion was caused by a bomber wearing a vest packed with six to eight kilograms (13 to 17 pounds) of explosives, pellets and ball-bearings. The attack caused destroyed several cars and no group claimed responsibility.
