12/20/2010: On Monday, in eastern Mosul, Ninawa, Iraq, unknown gunmen opened fire on the President of Mosul University, Saaeed al-Diwah, seriously wounding him. He was taken to the intensive care unit at al-Jumhouriya hospital. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack and no damages were reported.

Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
