Incident Summary:

04/26/2011: On Tuesday morning around 0750, in the military Defense Housing Scheme area in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan, in one of two related attacks, unidentified militants detonated a remote-controlled improvised explosive device attached to a motorcycle, targeting a bus transporting around 50 Pakistani Navy officials. At least three security force personnel were killed and 37 others were injured in the attack while the bus was destroyed. At least 24 nearby buildings were also damaged in the attack. A second explosion targeting another bus carrying Pakistani Navy officials took place in Baldia 10 minutes later. No group claimed responsibility for the attack, but Pakistani officials believed that the Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) led by Brahamdagh and the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) led by Commander Hakimullah Mahsud were responsible.
