06/06/2011: On Monday, in Bangassou, Mbomou, Central African Republic, unidentified militants opened fire on the vehicle of a doctor who was delivering polio vaccines, killing the driver and the front passenger. Three others in the vehicle managed to escape before the militants then set fire to the car causing an unknown amount of property damage to the vehicle. No group claimed responsibility for the attack.

Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.

Successful Attack
Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
