11/19/2011: Two unidentified gunmen opened fire on a police vehicle in central al-Mukalla city, Hadramout province, Yemen. Major Seaid Lardhi, the director of the Criminal Investigation unit, was killed in the attack; his bodyguard was wounded. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, official suspect the involvement of Al-Qa ida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP).
