Incident Summary:

12/19/2011: An explosive device was placed at the Sero Elementary School near the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) compound in Cotabato City, Botabato, Philippines. It is suspected that the bombing was related to a celebration at the ARMM marking a change in leadership. There are conflicting reports regarding if the device actually detonated. This is the second of two explosives planted in or around the ARMM compound. No claim of responsibility was reported.
