Incident Summary:

01/26/2012: Approximately 100 gunmen blocked a highway and took hostages in Zamfara state, Nigeria. When a number of the hostages attacked the gunmen, a shootout ensued. At least 14 hostages were killed and their bodies burned as a result. No group claimed responsibility for the attack; however, sources attributed it to Boko Haram.
