02/25/2012: Two North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) soldiers were shot and killed inside the Afghan Interior Ministry in Kabul city, Kabul province, Afghanistan. The two soldiers were from the United States. The assailant, Abdul Saboor, was a junior intelligence officer with connections to a Pakistani madrassa. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack, stating that it was in response to Qurans being burned at Bagram Air Base.
