02/27/2012: A suicide bomber detonated an explosives-laden vehicle outside of the Jalalabad airbase in Jalalabad city, Nangarhar province, Afghanistan. Ten people, including one assailant, were killed, and 12 more were wounded. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack, stating that it was targeting soldiers in retaliation for North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) troops burning Qurans at Bagram Air Base.
