05/29/2012: An explosive device targeting a natural gas pipeline detonated in Sarikamis district, Kars province, Turkey. The pipeline, which flowed from Turkey to Azerbaijan, was damaged and shut down for several days. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources suspected the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).
