Incident Summary:

12/04/2012: A suicide bomber detonated an explosive-laden vehicle at a checkpoint outside of a police station in Bannu city, Bannu district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan. In addition to the bomber, two police officers were killed and at least six other people were injured in the blast. Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed responsibility for the incident, stating that the police were targeted because they were killing TTP members.
