11/01/2013: Two explosive devices were discovered and defused in the market in Birendranagar city, Mid-Western development region, Nepal. The devices were targeting Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, a Unified Communist Party of Nepal - Maoist (UCPN-Maoist) leader. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, police officials suspected that the Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist (Baidya) was involved.
