Incident Summary:

01/17/2014: An explosive device detonated as members of the Libyan National Army were attempting to defuse it in Benghazi city, Benghazi district, Libya. Colonel Ragab Hussein al-Abbar, a senior bomb disposal expert, was killed and three other soldiers were wounded as a result of the blast. No group claimed responsibility for the incident.
