Incident Summary:

01/21/2014: Assailants ambushed a Park Ranger patrol in Virunga National Park outside Goma city, North Kivu province, Democratic Republic of the Congo. A firefight ensued, during which one ranger and three attackers were killed and two rangers were injured. No group claimed responsibility; however, park officials attributed the attack to the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Rwanda (FDLR).
