Incident Summary:

03/15/2014: Assailants abducted at least 18 Shinwari tribal members in Badaber village, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan. One of the hostages escaped shortly after the abduction and at least 11 of the hostages were released on March 18, 2014. The status of the remaining victims is unknown. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the abduction to Lashkar-e-Islam (Pakistan).
