04/20/2014: Assailants abducted Irma Krat in Sloviansk city, Donetsk oblast, Ukraine. Krat, a journalist, was successfully rescued unharmed on July 5, 2014. The Donetsk People's Republic claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that the abduction was carried out in response to Krat's involvement in the abuse of riot police officers and a Russian journalist during protests.
