08/22/2014: Assailants abducted Mykola Zelenec in Luhansk city, Luhansk oblast, Ukraine. Zelenec, the honorary consul of the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, was killed the same day. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Luhansk People's Republic.
