11/25/2014: Assailants kidnapped eight civilians from an air base in Lahij governorate, Yemen. The victims, who included six Yemenis, a Saudi, and an Ethiopian, were rescued in a joint United States and Yemeni military raid several hours later. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed it to Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP).
