Incident Summary:

11/29/2014: A suicide bomber and two other assailants attacked the Partnership in Academics and Development (PAD) compound in Kabul city, Kabul province, Afghanistan. The assailants took at least nine people hostage and clashed with security forces responding to the attack. Seven people, including three of the hostages, were killed and an Afghan special forces member was injured during the attack. Additionally, the remaining six hostages were rescued after the fighting. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the incident, stating that it targeted the compound the group believed it was being used for foreign intelligence.
