Incident Summary:

12/09/2014: Assailants stormed the house of a retired United States Marine in Balibayon village, Surigao del Norte province, Philippines. No one was injured in the attack, but property was stolen. This was one of two simultaneous attacks targeting the former marine and his property. The New People's Army (NPA) claimed responsibility for the incident, stating that the marine had committed abuses but that the main goal of the attack was to steal his guns.
