Incident Summary:
01/25/2015: Assailants opened fire on residents and set fire to buildings in Abogbe village, Benue state, Nigeria. At least eight people were killed and an unknown number of others were injured in the assault. This was one of four coordinated attacks on villages in Agatu district on the same day. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the incident to Fulani militants.

Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
