Incident Summary:

12/22/2015: A sniper opened fire on Iraqi Armed Forces soldiers and Iraqi Volunteer Forces members in Amiriyat al-Fallujah, Al Anbar governorate, Iraq. At least seven people, including Major Hakim al-Shamry and six assailants, were killed and another soldier was injured in the ensuing clash. The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) claimed responsibility for the attack.
