12/28/2015: An explosive device detonated at a rally for Abdul Bari Khan in Nowhata, Rajshahi division, Bangladesh. Khan, an Awami League mayoral candidate, was not harmed but at least five other people were wounded in the blast. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).

Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
