Incident Summary:

05/19/2017: A suicide bomber detonated an explosives-laden vehicle at a police checkpoint in Abu Disheer neighborhood, Baghdad, Iraq. In addition to the assailant, at least 13 people were killed and 15 people were injured in the blast; the victims included police officers and civilians. This was one of two suicide attacks in Abu Disheer on this date. The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) claimed responsibility for the incidents.
