Incident Summary:

08/31/2017: Assailants attacked Mehmet Paksoy outside his residence in Uludere, Sirnak, Turkey. Paksoy, a village guard, was killed in the incident. The Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) claimed responsibility for the attack and stated that Paksoy was targeted for his actions against members of the Kurdish community.
