09/25/2017: Assailants attacked the Santa Marta ranch in Rio Verde, San Pedro, Paraguay. There were no casualties in the incident; however, the assailants held one individual hostage as they looted the residence. The Paraguayan People's Army (EPP) claimed responsibility for the incident and demanded that the Santa Marta ranch owner provide four animals to the indigenous community.
